The outside (our front yard if you will) is decorated with some simple but classy, cultural decor: the authentic Brazialian hammock (which is rarely empty) and Tibetan prayer flags. We have, by far, the coolest apartment in Logan and possibly West of the Mississippi.
On the inside you will find Stan the studley bike on the wall, Owlbert, the owl in dangling from the ceiling, and Alfred and The Lionness adorning the wall. Some people might think that naming inanimate objects makes you crazy: we beg to differ.

Think of naming your inatimate objects as "personification". It will make you sound smart (or maybe like a nerdy English major). Your place looks awesome, a guy magnet. The lioness will be a huge turn on to the male species...something about the whole hunt and chase thing. Anyway, looks like you're having tons of fun trekking around bear country and pimping out your pad. Sedona can't wait to see you this weekend!
Nice pad! Love the prayer flags and hammock. And I'm so happy your wearing tye-dye, very fitting. I also have some incense and incense holders that you should have if you don't already have some.
I hate to put a damper on the lioness theme, but only male lions have manes, (unless they are hormonally challenged). I think it would be fun to have some kind of animal fur on the floor too, and maybe a fake fireplace? Take the ambiance to an extreme. I really like the wild animal theme. Ohhh, and how about some animal riding the bike, perhaps a large monkey? And a smattering of zebra print and hot pink? And more birds, please!
It really is a nice apartment!
Hey,
I am so mad that I didn't get to see you when you came to Bear Lake! I was probably running around being a crazy lady, but I hope your shake was excellent. So, remember the days when we used to hang out on campus, along with Todd and Ash? Well, I am back in school so maybe I will see you around campus sometime. That would be cool, fun, and humurous!
Alina, we actually thought of that same problem with the name The Lioness. But we liked it so much that we named the female tiger The Lioness. The lion's name is actually Alfred. I thought about explaining this in the original blog, but didn't think anyone would even notice. So bravo on your attention to detail.
fantastic, once again. never a disapointment. what number in hillside do you live in?? tell me it's hillside 10. but just knowing that you have managed to live in every place i have and in the right sequence is enough.
2 things:
1)great placement for the lioness and alfred. they look great. don't let alina trick you into thinking you need to add more to the decor. remember, less is more, and it will take away from the lioness and alfred.
2)i'm laughing to see large's comment on your blog. and in rebuddle, will you please give darcy our blogspot info.
love you bud! and that was so fun talking to you on the phone. sorry it ended in such a lurch.
Wow, nice digs Kell! Be careful though... like Jen said, it looks like you do have a guy magnet. In fact, I think there's some guy taking photos of y'all. Maybe you can figure out who he is as his image is reflected in the glass behind you all in the hammock.
And come on! Naming inanimate objects is the least of what makes you crazy. I should know. I have a minor in psychology! :)
In response to your post on Todd & Ash's page...all you have to do is ask about my glorious beaty pageant days. There's nothing to hide (except sheer humiliation.) I wish I could laugh at myself, but it hasn't been long enough. Give me a few more decades and I'll come clean.
I'm glad your college education has paid off! Cheers to King Alfred and the Lioness!
And I wasn't even in a beauty pageant but seem to humiliate myself regularly.
Come on Jen, "you have to laugh at yourself, you would cry your eyes out if you didn't" Just embrace your beauty pageant days. It is really all of the humiliating things you do in life that make you cool. Remember Creed and his braided leather belt...look how cool he is now.
